Dynastar, under the tutelage of Jean-Yves Pachoud, absorbed the Lange brand when Boix-Vives decided to sell it for some $20 millions to Rossignol (the public company.) While Pat Quigley was Lange USA's sole survivor, he was the perfect candidate to shake up a rather stogy Vermont leadership. Only a couple of original Lange sales reps like Larry Asay and Rob Mucci stayed on. After a little over a year, Quigley left Vermont for Tennessee to start a successful career in the music business.
Dynastar carried on with distributing the brand. In Europe, Philippe Guérin switched allegiance and went to work for Nordica which, at the time, had just been acquired by Benneton. Pachoud parted company with the Rossignol group to become a gentleman farmer in the south of France.
For the past two decades, Lange has kept up with technology without bringing significant innovations, and maintained the racing capital it had accumulated over the years...
